Celebrate Flinders Day on Coochiemudlo Island

Join us for the re-enactment of Flinders’ Landing at Norfolk Beach — a key event in the island’s Heritage Month).

We’ll also be celebrating Matthew Flinders naming Coochiemudlo Island as the Sixth Island 225 years ago. Key activities of this event include:

• Norfolk Cadets welcoming our Flinders

• Storytelling

• Flinders arriving on shore

• Measurement with the antique sextant

• Photo opportunities

• Wooden boats to check out after Flinders leaves.

The Heritage Society will have a stall at the markets on Main Beach. Come and say hello!
